Dear families,

Thank you to our families who have been using the student drop off area properly. However, we continue to have vehicles left unattended and staff vehicles being blocked in. Please remember to leave the bus area free as our students need access to the buses.

We are looking for more kindergarten students! The sooner we have students registered, the sooner we can determine the number of classes. If you know you will be moving, please let the office know so we can track the correct number of students attending Jean Steckle in September 2017. For more information, please contact the office at 519-748-1919.

Enjoy your long weekend and Happy Easter!

Andrea Michelutti, Principal

This year we will be showing “The LEGO Batman Movie.”

Date: Friday, April 28th

Where: JSPS Gym

When: Doors open at 6 p.m. Movie begins @ 6:40 p.m. SHARP

Please bring indoor footwear (shoes/slippers), blankets, folding chairs and reusable drink containers.

You may purchase a combo package in advance on School Day. NO paper order forms will be sent home. Combo includes one admission, one “biggie” slice of cheese pizza, and one bag of popcorn for $5. The School Day purchase is the ONLY way to order pizza as we are just ordering the amount we pre-sell. Your last day to place a combo order on School Days will be on Friday, April 21. No late orders. No exceptions.

Tickets at the door (ages 3+) – $2

Popcorn & candy will be sold before & during the movie – $1

To reduce the amount of garbage and mess that evening, we will not be selling drinks. Please bring a reusable bottle from home. Water fountains are just outside the gym.

We NEED volunteers to make this work! If you can donate any of your time, please e-mail Kelly: jsps.schoolcouncil@gmail.com ASAP. We are looking for 1 hour of your time before, during and after the movie. Colour Paradise Gift Card Fundraiser

For the 3rd straight year, when you purchase a gift card through JSPS for Colour Paradise Greenhouses, a portion of the proceeds come right back to our school.

Were you planning to buy flowers, shrubs or vegetable plants this spring?  Or were you looking for a great Mother’s Day gift? Why not purchase gift cards from the JSPS School Council for Colour Paradise Greenhouses in $25, $50 or $100 denominations?  When you purchase a gift card, you get that amount to spend at Colour Paradise…AND Colour Paradise will give 20% back to the school.  It’s win-win!  If you buy a $100 gift card, they will give JSPS $20.

Gift card order forms are due on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017. Late orders will not be accepted

Place your order form and payment into a zip-top bag or an envelope so that it all stays together. PLEASE make sure your child’s name is on the order form.

Gift cards will be available for pick up on April 28th at movie night from 6-8pm. Cards not picked up will be sent home with your child the week of May 1st.

This year we are only able to accept cash. If you are uncomfortable with sending this much cash in with your child, we will have a drop off bin in the office.

The funds raised will go towards upgrading the gym sound equipment for events, such as the Canada 150 school play in May. Order forms will be sent out to classes by Monday, April 3.

Thank you for making that happen by supporting the JSPS School Council fundraising efforts! Any questions can be directed to jsps.schoolcouncil@gmail.com
