Dear families,
Congratulations to our boys’ volleyball team. They won the championship this week. Thank you to our students and coaches, Mrs. Tilt, Mrs. Wiens, and Ms. Straatman for their hard work during the volleyball season.
Today, CTV was supposed to be filming at our school but due to technical difficulties, the shoot had to be canceled. They will be back on Monday and broadcasting live during the noon hour. They will be showcasing our students’ generosity by donating toys to CTV’s Toy Mountain.
Thank you to our families for their all of their support with our Toy Mountain and our Super Seasonal Sale.

Seasonal Concert
On Thursday, December 14, our students will be participating in a season concert. If your child is performing, please look for details in their planners. The concert for parents begins at 11:45 a.m and will last about an hour.
Popcorn
Popcorn will be available for students in Grades 4 to 8 every Wednesday until the end of May.
Popcorn for students in Kindergarten to Grade 3 takes place once a month. Our next primary popcorn day is Wednesday, December 13.

Candy-grams
The members of our student council will be sending Candy-grams again this holiday season. Students in Grade 4 to Grade 8 can purchase their candy-grams the week of December 11. The candy-grams will be delivered on December 21.
Toy Mountain has been extended
The kindergarten students will be collecting new, in packages, tags on and unwrapped toys for the CTV Toy Mountain Campaign. Our collection runs Monday, December 4th through Monday, December 11. If anyone would like to contribute just send your donations to one of the kindergarten classrooms
Super Seasonal Sale
Mrs. Austin’s grade four class and the extracurricular group called “We Lead” is hosting a Super Seasonal Sale. The sale will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017. It’s a perfect way for kids to go shopping for presents they want to give to their families and friends! Donating used items will keep them out of the landfill.
We are still collecting donations. Please send them to school this week.
Students will shop for gifts for family members and be proud to bring home a wrapped gift which they picked out! Items will be priced from $0.25 to $3. All proceeds will go to Sunbeam Lodge, a place in our community that supports children with medical issues. All leftover items will be donated to a local second-hand store.
