Dear families,
We had another great week at Jean Steckle! Our kindergarten team hosted an information session for our new parents. I encourage parents to contact the office if they have questions about the transition to Kindergarten by emailing andrea_michelutti@wrdsb.ca or calling 519-748-1919. Thank you to our families who attended this event.
On Thursday, April 12, students will participate in a special Earth Day assembly at 8:45 a.m. We will be learning about what we can do to save our planet. We will also be saying goodbye to our Vice-Principal, Amy Humphrys.
On Friday, April 13, 2018, teachers will be participating in a PD Day focusing on School Improvement Planning for the full day. Elementary and Secondary teachers will participate in a school activity reflecting our Strategic Plan and Operational Goals for Student Achievement and Well-Being, and school improvement planning with a focus on mathematics.
All paraprofessional staff (EA/CYW/DECE) and occasional teachers will also be participating in off-site, full-day professional development sessions. Students will be at home on Friday as the school will be closed.
