Dear Families,

Happy Friday!

Looking at our school calendar, there are just 60 instructional days left in the school year.  This is a great time to reflect on all the great things we have learned throughout the year. It is also a great time to think about setting some short-term goals over next few months.

What can I accomplish in 60 days? Maybe I could move up in my reading by 5 levels.  Or perhaps I could learn all my multiplication facts to 9×9. I encourage students to sit down with their teacher, or their parent(s), to set one or two goals that you can work towards by the end of the school year.

Best of luck! See you on Monday at 8:30 a.m.

Sincerely,

Rick Saunders,

Vice Principal

Break a Rule Day (April 18th)

This day is a great way for students to have fun, while raising money for a good cause.  Students donate one dollar to break one rule. Of course, students are to conduct themselves in accordance with the code of conduct.  No one should be behaving in a way that might endanger themselves or others.

But, with their teacher’s agreement, a student might be able to wear a hat in class, chew some gum or have a special snack.  It is all in good fun and for a good cause. All the monies raised will go to support out spring garden project.

Sibling Photo Day

A reminder that Sibling Photo Day is Thursday April 11th. LifeTouch Studios will be at Jean Steckle on this day to provide families with the opportunity to have sibling photos taken.  Order forms have been provided to classroom teachers for distribution and are to be brought back with the oldest student on April 11th.
