Dear Families,
We had another great week at Jean Steckle Public School. Our Grade 8 students won many ribbons at the area track and field meet, our Grade 6 students completed the EQAO assessment, our Kindergarten students went to the zoo, and our Grade 2 students went to the Ground Water Festival.
Thank you to our students and families who wore their Raptor’s wear or red and black on Thursday to support the Toronto Raptors.

Family Fun Night
We are less than one week away from our Family Fun Night taking place on Thursday, June 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wristbands are $10 and can be purchased on School-Day, the day of the event or at the family fun night. This year will be having mini golf, swings, face painting, a rock climbing wall, a train, mini ferris wheel, mad science activities, carnival games, and a pirate ship.
Be sure to bring money to purchase tickets for our raffle and silent auction. We have Wonderland tickets, Splash Works tickets, days camps and more. Tickets are $2 for 1, $10 for 10, or $20 for 25 tickets.
We also have great food from Harvey’s and Little Caesar’s pizza. Carnival treats will also be sold. The price for the food range from $1 to $3.
Girls’ Talk Group
Congratulations to the Grade 8 girls who participated in the Girls’ Talk group this year. Their hard work was featured on the WRDSB’s website. Ms. Laffin, Mrs. Tilt, and our Grade 8 members worked together to put on an amazing event.
