September 15th, 2016
Dear families,
Thank you for another great week. Our students have quickly settled into the routines of school and are demonstrating S.T.I.N.G. (speak with purpose, teamwork, integrity, never give up, and gratitude) with their interactions with their peers and teachers.
Thank you to our parents for keeping all of our students safe by adhering to our new entry and exit procedures. We are asking adults to remain behind the yellow lines when the students are lining up to ensure the students are visible.
If you haven’t already signed up for School-Day, please contact the office for assistance. All field trips and products will be posted on School-Day.
Sincerely,
Andrea Michelutti – Principal
No Dogs on School Property
As a reminder to our families, dogs are not permitted on school property during school hours (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
Planners
Parents with students in Grade 1 through Grade 8 are reminded to either send in $7 cash or pay for planners on School-Day. If you are unable to purchase the planner, please contact the office to make arrangements.
Professional Day – Friday, September 23
The students will be having a Professional Activities Day (P.A. Day) on Friday, September 23. The school will be closed for students. The staff will be working on mathematics and the curriculum.
Safety Drills
Over the next few weeks, we will be conducting several fire drills and a shelter in place drill. The classroom teachers review procedures with the students to ensure we keep all of our students and staff safe. If there was an emergency, we would contact parents through School-Day, our website, and Twitter.

Our first School Council meeting will be taking place on Tuesday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the library. All parents are encouraged to attend. Please contact Andrea Michelutti if you have any questions.
