Dear families,

We had another exciting week. On Wednesday, our students learned all about Dixieland Jazz. Thank you to Paul Mitchell (the Father of Owen in Grade 8) from the Central Ontario Musicians’ Association for organizing and funding the last two music concerts (Dixieland Jazz and Country Music). We are thankful for their generous donation for these two events.

A special thank you to Kim from Goodlife Fitness for leading our Grade 6 and Grade 8 students in a fun and motivating workout. This event was to support Bell’s Lets Talk initiative on talking about mental health.

Sincerely,

Andrea Michelutti – Principal

Dance-a-thon – February 14

We are excited to share that on February 14, we will be hosting our annual Dance-a-thon fundraiser. It will be filled with spectacular lighting and the best kid-appropriate music. We are going to move and groove our way to raising needed funds to help our school. Each class will have approximately 50 minutes to show off their dance moves and have fun!

Amazing things are happening at Jean Steckle but we cannot do it without your support. Your donations will fund equipment for the physical education department as well as technology replacement. This is an opportunity to invest in something close to your heart – your child’s school experience.

We have three ways to donate:

  1. Cash: please place any cash donations in the envelopment that was sent home with your child
  2. School day: school items -> products
  3. Waterloo Education Foundation Inc (WEFI) ***this is the only way to obtain a tax receipt.
