Another great week at Jean Steckle P.S.!
This week, our school is gearing up for Mary Poppins. The gym is looking amazing. The tech crew is making final preparations. The staff are coaching students and putting things together. And our cast is polishing their performances. It is all very exciting!
Looking forward to seeing all our families and friends at this week’s coming performances. Have a “supercalifragilistic” – weekend!

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins has almost landed!
Mary Poppins tickets will continue to be on sale on School Day. Tickets are $8 each. Shows are April 30th and May 1st at 6:30 pm. A limited number of tickets will be available for the daytime dress rehearsals at 11:30 am. Tickets for the evening performances are almost sold out, so get your tickets soon!

Garden Projects
Starting May 6th, we will begin constructing our Jean Steckle food garden.
The goal is a sustainable food garden project. (Tepperman’s helps build the gardens, Seeds of Diversity brings the seeds and plants, our students take care of the garden) with the hope of selling some of its produce to Borealis or other community partners. The money students raise can be donated toward other community projects of their choice. In this way, we work as a community supporting one another. We feel it is a great community-based model for our students to experience. These organizations are not interested in any form of compensation or advertising but rather feel that supporting these types of projects helps their staff and fulfills the business model that they believe in. Looking forward to the final results.
