Ramadan

Ramadan is a Muslim religious observation month that includes fasting from dawn until dusk. This year, Ramadan begins on Saturday, April 2 and lasts 30 days. To support our students who are fasting and would like the opportunity to have an alternative location during the eating portion of the nutrition break, Mrs. Haines (our library clerk) will be supervising students in the library.

If your child is fasting and would like to use the library during the nutrition breaks, please contact your child’s teacher or send an email to jst@wrdsb.ca

The Waterloo Region School District Board (WRDSB) recognizes the diverse religious backgrounds and values represented in the school community. WRDSB also recognizes the importance of being supportive, sensitive and inclusive to the needs of all students, staff and families during this month.
