This 90-minute VIRTUAL session will create a space where parents/guardians will learn practical tips for supporting their children in their anti-oppression journey.

We will explore the skills parents need to model for children to welcome and include their friends and peers from diverse backgrounds and communities.

This session will support ongoing inclusion efforts at Jean Steckle Public School and Groh Public School. Parents/Guardians are welcome to ask questions throughout the session. Suggested books and resources to support your learning will be recommended at the end of the session. Come ready to learn!

This session will be led by Destine Lord, an anti-racism and inclusion specialist. Destine has worked for the last 10 years in both the private and public sectors, working with adults to support their learning around anti-oppression. She is a facilitator and certified in change management. Follow her on Twitter @demanddifferent for anti-oppression information.
