Dear families,
Thank you for another great week! Our Director of Education, John Bryant, the former Minister of Education Mitzie Hunter, and many senior administrators from the WRDSB visited our school to announce the funding of a new school in our area and to ask our students about the importance of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics). The feedback was incredible! They shared our students were friendly, hard-working, kind, and inquisitive. We have the best students and school in Ontario!
Please join us on Wednesday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the library for our next school council meeting.
On Friday, January 26, our teachers will be participating in professional activities and the school will be closed.

Looking for paid schoolyard supervisors between 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
We are looking for a few parents who would like to act as paid schoolyard supervisors in the morning between 8:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our students by walking around the yard and helping students. Please contact Ms. Humphrys in the office to set up a meeting for this important position.
Tepperman’s on Sunday, January 21
The members of our ECO club have been invited to Tepperman’s on Sunday, January 21 at 10:30 a.m. to learn about their living wall and to talk about our upcoming school project: creating living art frames. Members of the ECO club must have a parent attend this special event. All Jean Steckle P.S. families are invited to visit Tepperman’s after 11:00 a.m. to visit the living wall. Thank you to the staff at Tepperman’s for supporting our living art frame project.
