Hello Parents/Guardians,

Here are this week’s update:

Principal Message:

Thank you for another great week – our students continue to work hard in their classes and are making gains everyday. I would like to thank the members of school council for their hard work and dedication to our school. If you are interested in joining next year’s school council, please join us on September 20 at 6:00 p.m.

~Andrea Michelutti

On Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, the first 500 students who signed up for School Day will be invited to a special Freezie party in the gym during the last block. We appreciate our parents’ support of School Day. We are looking for a few families to store the freezies before this event as our freezer space is limited. If you are able to help, please email andrea_michelutti@wrdsb.on.ca.

To align with board policy, volunteers at the school will require a Police Vulnerable Sector Check. We are asking that parents and family members who are interested in volunteering in the school or on field trips have this check completed. Students will receive a letter that will allow for volunteers to receive this check at the reduced rate of $10. Once you receive your Police Vulnerable Sector Check, please send it to the office. All volunteers are asked to have their police checks by December 2016. If you have any questions or concerns, please email andrea_michelutti@wrdsb.on.ca or call the school at 519-748-1919.

Teachers will be busy the next few weeks completing the final report cards for this year. The report cards will be sent home on Monday, June 27. If your child is not at school that week, the report cards will be mailed out. Unfortunately, we will not be able to hand out report cards before June 27.
